Swami Shantanand Lecture and Q & A

The workshop will be held Sunday, September 27th. The class will go from 10am until eve. The fee is $50 for the day. Bring food that can be shared with others through out the day. The workshop is designed to be intensive. Dress comfortably.

You are a blazing, divine presence. You cannot go wrong. The mind that goes right and wrong is an illusive entity. It is not the core of your being. You are the light that illumines and transcends the mind and remains ever the same. You are blissful and perfect by nature.

 --Swami Shantanand

As long as we are alive we are constantly engaged in doing one thing or the other. We tend to believe that good actions lead to freedom and bad actions to bondage.  However, according to the path of Jnana-Yoga (the yoga of wisdom) both good and bad actions lead to bondage.  It is only the realization that we are not the doers and that all actions are performed by the attributes of nature that grants genuine freedom.

Join us to explore a rare opportunity to learn practical steps of Jnana Yoga, the Yoga of clarity.    Jnana Yoga uses the intellect to negate everything finite and unreal, and then helps the intellect to merge with the Real.    Swamiji will guide us in experiential and meditative techniques designed to reveal the deeper meaning and mysteries of jnana yoga.  Come and discover the higher teachings of Yoga, develop self-mastery, and know the core of your being.

Swami Shantanand Saraswati (Shantji) was born in northern India in 1946.  Since early childhood he was contemplative about the mysteries of life.  After graduating with honors from the University of Allahabad, he spent several years in monasteries and caves seeking God.  He practiced Raja Yoga and meditation but ultimately realized the core of his being through Jnana Yoga.

He has been teaching, lecturing and conducting workshops in the United States since 1980.  Author of Are You Free, Power of Truth, Confusion & Clarity, Pure Wisdom, and Enlightenment.   He has appeared on numerous radio and television programs.  An unorthodox mystic, Shantji is a dynamic and challenging speaker who engages the intellect but appeals to the heart with his clarity, humor and stories.
